HOW WE GIVE BACK
We are proud to be partnered with the 'Let's Help Bali' Project. The 'Let's Help Bali' project is a non-profit organisation that is committed to supporting the people of Bali as they cope with the COVID-19 pandemic. We are committed to donating $5 from every sale to The 'Let's Help Bali appeal.
Unfortunately the pandemic for the Balinese people is cutting deep as 70% the population depends on tourism to make a living & still does. This was made virtually impossible once COVID-19 halted domestic and international travel in early 2020. The halt to travel resulted in a 95% decline in international visitor arrivals in Bali, which has caused a ripple effect that has been felt throughout the whole community. Many Balinese people have lost their jobs & are struggling to feed their families. Basic essentials, such as water from a tap, are unavailable & families have had no choice but to sell the last of their household's valuables. Essential medical needs cannot be met & whole households are without electricity. Families are having to decide between vital medicine or food to feed their families. Mothers can't afford formula to feed their babies. This is why the people of Bali need our help.
The 'Let's Help Bali' team are non-profit organisation & use 100% of the donations to care for the people of Bali. Here are some examples of how your donations help.
$1 = Fresh meals, these are given at random to communities that are in need.
$15 = Weekly food packs that are provided to poor families, disabled ect. This food pack will last a small family approximately 10 days. They include 5kg rice, noodles, eggs, oil, antibacterial soap and veggies.
$2 = Vegetable packs that include 5 different types of veggies, enough to last a family approximately 3-5 days.
On certain days, the 'Let's Help Bali' volunteers have been able to provide over 1000 individuals with much-needed food and resources. The delivery drivers are unemployed tour guides and hotel staff and the delivery money goes directly into their pockets, as well as the pockets of friends and family who assist. The food is entirely sourced from street vendors in the area.
My hope is that the people of Bali do not go hungry, are loved & cared for. This is why I have committed to donate $5 from every purchase to this beautiful charity.
